Swindon Bats Sports & Social Club for Visually Impaired People – Activities

Tenpin Bowling

We regularly meet on Monday evenings at 18:45pm and Wednesdays from 12:30 pm and  to play Tenpin Bowling at Swindon Tenpin, Shaw Ridge Leisure Park, Whitehill Way, Swindon, SN5 7DN.

BBS – some players are members of British Blind Sport  but this is not a requirement for playing with Swindon Bats on Wednesdays.  We also have members who just want to come and play for fun and not be involved in competitions. 

Corporate Matches - Zurich Community Trust has been one of our supporters for several years and regularly plays us at tenpin bowling.  It also organises an inter-company match which is held annually to help raise money for Swindon Bats.  We have also enjoyed matches with Wootton Bassett Rotary Club who have challenged us to skittles matches in return. 

Monday Club

The Monday Club meets once a month, on the second Monday, at Beck Hall, Craven House, 145 Victoria Road, Old Town, Swindon, SN1 3BU, from 1 to 3 pm.

Trips

A number of trips have been organised in the past such as a visit to the seaside, theatre visits, and a trip to Cadbury World and The Harry Potter Studios.

Membership Fee

The annual fee to be a member of Swindon Bats is £20.
